all the time, except for tv shows. I don't think I've ever been blown away by a tv show, or at least not in recent memory.

For comics I would say Y The Last Man was an unexpected entertaining read as was The Walking Dead. I think what helped is by the time I read them, WD was up to 90 issues and Y was complete so I got to read through entire stories in a few sittings.

Also in trying to get my wife into some type of Super Hero comic, we came across Spider Woman Origins, which interested her. So I went back a little further and got Alias, and now I find myself reading it with her.

For music I guess when I first heard Mumford and Sons.

I really haven't seen a good movie or TV show in a long, long time that's blown me away.

tv-24. i didnt watch it when it aired and didnt expect much. cable was showing it free on demand, the whole season. never saw on demand before. so i checked it out, before season 2. wow. i watched 24 hrs in two days

comics-probably the first six or so issues of Captain America under BRukbaker with bucky coming back and how emotional that felt and yet good.

music-i dont know.

movies- Pirates of the Caribbean. wow. amazing and i thought it would be lame.

Hot Fuzz in February 2008 (Toy Story 3, opening weekend, is close).

Daredevil: Born Again circa 2009.

On The Third Day by Electric Light Orchestra, circa 2006.

Fuzzy on television...I watch too many shows for far too long after I stop truly enjoying them. But an episode will air every so often that really harkens back to the golden years of the show.

Final Cut by Steven Bach.

Game of Thrones is the most recent piece of television that has blown me away.

Music is a little harder because I tend to listen to new music pretty often. Certain concerts have blown me away though like when I saw Portishead live.

For books, I dunno. Anything by Cormac McCarthy or Michael Ondatjee is the closest I could think of but they still don't blow me away.

Comics. The first big volume of Walking Dead. No superhero stuff has ever blown me away when I read it. It's just been entertaining.

Movies. Nothing Hollywood I can think of. The Brazillian movies City of God and the Ellite Squad Movies blew me away when I first watched them though.

The most recent time was the 3:10 to Yuma remake about a month ago.

I wouldn't say it happens all the time, but it happens enough to keep me interested.

The Dark Knight - normally I hate superhero movies, but after seeing this I went "damn that was good!"
