TV Show - Spartacus (on Stars and Netflix streaming)
I was just turned onto the show last week. I thought this was going to be like the show Rome but I was surprised to see 300 like fight scenes. I was even more surprised to see Xena's titties. But I was blown away by the fact that the story sucked me in.

TV - I recently watched the entire run of Dexter, and particularly, I was blown away by the end of the season with the Trinity killer

Comics - probably that Walking Dead issue where Carl gets shot in the face

Books - the red wedding

Music - Johnny Cash - I see a darkness. I had been listening to the original Bonnie Prince Billy version a lot, but forgot Cash ever did a cover, then I heard it a few months ago, and it kind of stopped me in my tracks.

Comic Book: Green Lantern Corps #18 (Sinestro Corps War part 10). This book restored my faith that comics could be great again.

Comic : every time I read Orbiter I'm blown away.

TV : Babylon 5-the end of the Shadow War

Music : how much a revelation the Apples in Stereo was to me.

Movie : Iron Man, near tone perfect adaptation to the Iron Monger story. I wished though they'd ended it the way Iron Man 200 had ended. where Stane blew his own head off committing suicide

comics -- The Sixth Gun made me remember just how much FUN reading comics can be

movies -- Captain America; i was absolutely floored that Chris Evans could turn in a performance that shows the Steve Rogers that appears in my mind's eye, channeling the very best character bits from Stern, JMD, and Gru

TV -- pretty much simultaneously, Sherlock S1 and Game of Thrones

Inception blew me away completely. I was so jealous of Christopher Nolan's work then. It was really great. And the ideas featured were actually pretty cool.

I was stunned when I saw The Matrix in the theater.

My girlfriend at the time made me go see it with her and it totally caught me off guard.

Music - Rediscovering Genesis's Selling England By the Pound (Firth of Fifth in particular)

Movie - Tucker and Dale Vs Evil (I expected it to be stupid, instead it was pure fun)

TV - Downton Abbey S1 (yeah, I said Downton Abbey)

Comic - American Vampire. I started around #17 and couldn't believe I wasn't there from #1.
