Coming in May, DC COMICS-THE NEW 52 "Second Wave" will literally expand the world-building efforts of the comprehensive publishing initiative. With the addition of a parallel Earth that features prominently into both EARTH 2 and WORLDS' FINEST, the developing narrative will encompass new heroes from distinctly different backgrounds, building on the shared universe in some surprising ways.

From Josh Kushins at DC's Blog,

"Who will Batman kill to save his own daughter?" asks EARTH 2 editor Pat McCallum. "Right out of the gate that should tell you we're dealing with a different kind of Dark Knight here. More ruthless, dangerous...the costume is familiar and yeah, there is a Wayne under the mask, but we're looking at a man desperate to save the only family he has left. EARTH 2 is about to become a very bad place to be a bad guy."

I kinda like it.Could do without those spikes/ridges or whatever those are thought.

Well, it's a What If design. Not exactly loving it as it shares the problem of the DCnU design, it's too busy.

Agreed to busy. I find the "it's a Wayne" under the mask line though, maybe it's not Bruce. Since Thomas Wayne as Batman was about the only good thing that had anything to do with Flashpoint maybe they will explore that or something like it more. Or it could be that Bruce is already dead on Earth 2 and this is Damian?

Seeing it in color and thinking more about it, Huntress is supposed to be all grown up at this point right and the Robin look she had was a flashback thing. I am betting that Batman in Earth 2 is more likely to be Damian than Bruce. I mean if Huntress were a full grown adult in Earth 2 even in her early 20's that would put Bruce easily in his 40's pushing 50 right?

Aren't all parallel Earths basically "Elseworlds" ?

From the previous info we have about this, it sounds like the JSA was in operation years before the JL was (on the their own Earth), so the JSAers would be older, hence maybe the Bat-mantle has been passed on to Damian or another Wayne by now.

Yea it says its a Wayne under the cowl but not which one. It says Daughter but not Helena, who apparently is now Robin. The Wonder Woman design mentions that she's the last Amazon left standing and she's out for revenge.

This appears to be a very different Earth-2 then I thought. I'll give it a try but I'm not holding out a lot of hope for it. Part of me was hoping Earth-2 would be the pre-flashpoint DC universe but no. Oh well.
