The lead singer of The Monkees has died today.
Before Davy Jones joined The Monkees, he was primarily an actor. That would soon change after he joined The Monkees. The band would go on to produce such hits as "Daydream Believer" and "I'm a Believer". Outside of their musical career, they were also the stars of a scripted TV show about them. Before his death, Jones was on a solo tour and complained about chest pains. He was 66 years old.
