I used to use Murrays back in the day. I don't like it in the summertime--too greasy and heavy--but it's great in the winter.

I think you're taking this whole "I'm from Philly" thing too far...

I wrote in my journal in First Grade that I wished I was Black like my best friend Oran. I had to stay after school because my teacher (who was an old Black Woman) read it and told me that I shouldn't want to be Black--that it was hard to be Black and some other stuff that I can't remember because I was only like 6 or 7 years old and I was scared because I was getting scolded by the teacher. It's been a life-long thing with me. I love Black folks.

based on the picture, one would assume it has something to do with afros, but I would think that Murray's would weigh down an afro, not keep it perfectly coifed.

side note so I bought this in a grocery store and in was with all these other "black people products" like you have shelves of other hair care stuff then this little tiny segregated section

That's like every store.

All the grocery stores here have separate Indian and Chinese and Caribbean sections where they sell everything they stock in for each ethnicity in that aisle. It's the only place I've ever seen biryani masala next to sandalwood soap.
