The one thing I'm convinced of is that there should be far less than 52 books. DC just doesn't have the creative depth to support that many books. They should shoot for 30 and go from there.

I really hope the forthcoming crossover with JL Dark bucks up I, Vampire's sales figures. It's just such a great book and deserves a wider audience.

I wonder if DC should actually take a leap and give certain DCU titles a 'Mature Readers' label? After all, Vertigo is now 100% non-DCU so it's not like there would be any brand dilution involved. I, Vampire, JLD, Swamp Thing, Animal Man, the new Dial H (which is being edited by Karen Berger anyway) and a couple of others would probably benefit from being freed-up that way.

I say you have to look at any cancellations of Grifter and/or Voodoo differently then most others.

If they do end at some point soon, odds are its so they can get replaced by a full on Wildcats book. So that would just mean they were always planned on lasting for so long.

I doubt Hawkman gets cancelled, they just get someone other then Liefeld who knows.

I'd say about 20 or less, to be honest. Quit it with trying to boost market share with fringe characters and C-listers, and focus on the core titles.

I don't really want to see any of them get cancelled. I would like some to get new talent on them though. I've not read it, but Hawkman sounds like it needs a new direction the most from what I've overheard at the LCS.
