I can understand re-casting Matthew Broderick, but there isn't a single ape in that trailer. What a terrible remake!
The witness said Mr Brown then called out to Ms Hay's adult daughter: "Look at this, I'm tittie-f***ing your mother!".

Technically, he's the producer. Here's the wiki page if you want to save some cash:

He didn't direct this. He produced it, which basically just means nothing on the creative end of things.

A no-name directed this. His first movie or anything ever.

Actually the Producer is one of the main creative forces behind a film. In fact a lot of the time they are the people that have the idea and put up the money for it. You're talking about an EXECUTIVE producer, they have little creative input.

Right.. put the money behind it. Promote it. Find a studio. Get it made.

He didn't write it. He didn't direct it.

The two biggest creative aspects.

If you really believe that a very successful director just produced this flick with a first time director you're nuts.
Not to mention that a producer is on set EVERY day making sure that everything is right from creative aspects to making casting decisions.

:smt102

Enjoy the shitty movie, man.

48 on metacritic. 28 on RT.

Getting destroyed in reviews. I think Todd Philips is better than that, and his history kind of shows that.
