How many years has it been since Joe Quesada made his big announcement?

And I have the original run from the 80s too.
I don't care but I'm laughing after the big hidoo and nothing happening. It was made out that it was back and it sure wasn't.

I sold mine before they get that reprinted. After you've read it a half a dozen times or so there's not much more use for it. The Gaiman issues are downright awful, some of it.

I agree. But there are a ton of younger fans who have never gotten to read them.
The Gaiman stuff was not that great, I agree.

No, it wasn't.
They never said word one about it "being back".. that was pure fan speculation.
They specifically mentioned that the rights to the Moore/Gaiman stuff was still being worked out.
IIRC, last we heard, Gaiman said it's all about getting the plethora of artists and inkers and colorists, etc. involved to come together on individual deals.

Nice spin doctoring. Joe Q heavily implied it was bought, not fan speculation.
And as I pointed out, here we sit, and nothing has come out.

I was never under the impression that the stuff people actually wanted to read (Moore, Gaiman) was sorted out.

Implied where?
Again - yes, everyone thought the Moore/Gaiman stuff was coming soon.. but nothing in that initial announcement was about that. If you think otherwise, I would love to see the quotes with this implication.
Everything I remember from SDCC that year (2009) was about Mick Anglo's stuff.

eh Who cares about that stuff. The original stuff from the 50's is great, and that's what I'd rather read.

The real question is: does Chuck Austen deserve any more money from comics?
