I have come up with a list of characters that are real and fiction that should be in the GI Joe forces as well as the Cobra ones like they did when they had Sgt. Slaughter and the Fridge in the 80's cartoons, plus we had that forgettable Street Fighter toyline that flopped big time. Below are my list of candidates that would fit right in with the Joes and Cobra respectively:

Chuck Norris-This is mostly because Chuck Norris in the 80's had his own cartoon that was like GI Joes called
the Karate Kommandoes. Although the cartoon sucked, it made you think what would happen if
Chuck Norris had actually joined the Joes in their fight against Cobra. To me it would have been
better than Sgt. Slaughter as Chuck Norris was a much bigger star. However, the problem would
be that the show would be more about Chuck than the actual Joes themselves. However, I still
could see Chuck being a Joe and kicking as much ass as Sgt. Slaughter.

Rambo-This is more the cartoon incarnation of Rambo rather than his movie counterpart. Like Chuck Norris,
Rambo also had his GI Joe knockoff cartoon called Rambo & The Forces Of Freedom. The cartoon was a
poor man's GI Joe if anyone watched it but it always made you wonder what would happen if Rambo
had joined forces with GI Joe. I can imagine Rambo and the Joes teaming up to give Cobra and SAVAGE
a hard time. Plus, I could see Rambo bonding with Snake Eyes, Duke, Dusty and Lowlight especially.

Captain America-Captain America as part of the Joes team would be Duke 2.0 and would be a huge asset to
the team and a major pain for Cobra. I can basically see all the Joes kissing Cap's ass due to
how awesome he is

Nick Fury-Nick Fury, being the director of SHIELD, would be the ball buster for the Joes as he would be less
lenient than Hawk, Duke or even Colton as leader. Plus, Cobra Commander would probably be dead
very soon if Fury made Cobra a priority

Black Widow-I could see BW being a cross between Snake Eyes and Scarlet if she ever joined

Winter Soldier-Winter Soldier would be a badder version of Tunnel Rat and a huge asset to GI Joe

Wolverine-Although Wolverine would be a huge asset to the team, his personality would clash with the rest of
the Joes, especially Duke, Flint and Hawk. Plus, I could see him hitting on Scarlet and causing
problems with Snake Eyes

The Rock-Another wrestler in the same vein as Sgt. Slaughter. Although the Rock can't act, I could see him as
a Joe-Ironically he plays Heavy Duty in the upcoming movie this year

Cyclops-Cyclops is basically Flint with mutant powers so I could see him being a field commander for the team

Amanda Waller-She would be more of a foil for the Joes rather than an actual member. She would be a pain in
the ass for General Hawk and Duke and would undermine their attempts to deal with Cobra

Victoria Hand-She would be the anti-Baroness for the Joes. I would love to see both characters meet by the
way

Maria Hill-She would be a field agent that would rub everyone the wrong way, especially Scarlet and Lady Jaye
due to how much of a bitch she is

Rad Spencer-AKA Bionic Commando. This is one character I would love to see join the Joes as he would be an awesome ally due to his bionic arm and fire power

Punisher-Punisher would fit in with Flint but would bump heads with Duke, Hawk and most of the team-In all,
Frank would be Wolverine with guns

Cobra:

Bane-Bane would be a general in Cobra that would fall for the Baroness and plot to overthrow Cobra
Commander and Destro. I could see him being what Serpentor should have been-the ultimate soldier and
leader who is actually not annoying

Task Master-He would be the trainer for the Cobra troops as a merc for hire. I could see a rivalry between him
and Storm Shadow as well

Red Skull-Cobra Commander would bring him in thinking he could control Skull, only to realize how bad an idea
that was as Skull would screw him over and take Cobra from him

Ra's Al Ghul-He would be more of a financier to Cobra like Tomax and Xamot

Talia-She would be another anti-Baroness who would play both the Joes and Cobra

Dr. Doom-Dr. Doom would be another financier for Cobra as long as it served his purpose but would clash with
Cobra Commander due to how big their egos are

Red Ghost and his Mad Monkeys just seem like a good Cobra Agent. He can team up with Croc Master and Raptor and have a killer animal theme going!

Yeah you pretty much named just about everyone I could think of.

No Iron Fist? Unlike Quick Kick, at least this dude has a shirt and a pair of shoes.

Bronze Tiger and Deadshot might be able to fit in the Joes or Cobra if Waller's gonna be around. Maybe Flagg too.

Black Widow sounds like a good fit, but as a former Soviet agent, I doubt she'd have an easy time making the cut. She would make for a good recurring character, though.

You know that they were talking about putting Rocky in with the Joes, right? Big Boa was going to be his main nemesis. Things fell though, though... perhaps for the best.

Aside from the characters already suggested:

Bengal would also work. Think his sense of honor would remind us a bit of Spirit.

The Punisher. Somehow.

If they ever did an alternate universe story (like the cartoon episode where Breaker stayed behind), maybe someone like Snake Plesskin or the chick from Doomsday.

Ghost would be a good corporate sabateur.

If they ever did a WWI era Joe team, Indiana Jones would be a fun guest star.

Black Widows. Natasha with G.I.Joe or the Ocktober Guard and Yelena for Cobra.

Anyone think Kobra would get along with Cobra or try to take it over?

Interestingly enough, G.I. Joe (A Real American Hero) was an idea that Larry Hama salvaged from a a pitch called "Nick Fury Jr."

And now look. We actually HAVE a Nick Fury Jr.





My addition to this list is Solid Snake from MGS. I don't see him working well with the G.I. Joe team but every team needs their lone wolf.

Iron Fist I could see working with the Joes but I don't know if he would be a member though. Bronze Tiger I could see working with the Joes but Deadshot would most likely be a Cobra agent. As for Black Widow, I kind of agree as she would just be the Russian version of Scarlet-however she could be part of the Oktober Guard instead.

The only reason I see Dick in the Joes is to hit on Scarlet as we all know he loves redheads. Agreed with Slade and Cobra as well.

Mockingbird and Hawkeye would fit on the GI Joes... you could have Diamondback be a spy for the Joes in Cobra as well... You include Maria Hill and Victoria Hand who DON'T go in the field, and leave out Sharon Carter who was an active part of the Secret Avengers and goes into the field with Captain America all the time. Falcon could be a good Joe as well.
