Rumiko Takahashi's Rumic Theater Manga Gets Live-Action Project

This year's sixth issue of Shogakukan's Big Comic Original magazine announced on Monday that a live-action television adaptation of Rumiko Takahashi's Rumic Theater (Takahashi Rumiko Gekijō) manga series will run on NHK-BS Premium channel in July. The manga recounts short stories about people from all walks of life. Details about the project — such as when exactly it will run, who is being cast, and which story or stories will be adapted — will be announced in the future.[/quote]

Live-Action Rurouni Kenshin Film's New Promo Video Posted

The ZIP! morning television program in Japan aired an exclusive new trailer for the live-action film adaptation of Nobuhiro Watsuki's Rurouni Kenshin manga on Wednesday.

I'm listening to NPR and they are doing a series on last years' big quake in Japan. One of the fellows was talking about Kamen Rider and how Japanese superheroes are an inspiration that makes folks feel better (not really what was said but summarizing). Can'd find the feature online though...

Honestly, I only like the manga and anime. I've seen some live stuff before, but didn't care for it.

I've seen a stage production of Bleach which wasn't too bad.

All I'll say is, they better do The Tragedy of P.
And that penguin better be believable!
