Why is this a partisan issue? If it were Bush or Reagan I'd be pissed too, and according to the article the flag is potentially illegal to fly.

I did find it funny that the vet was in the bay of pigs though.

Well, the title of the thread is "Obama Flag" and Achilles started the thread, so....there you go.

But yeah, I still wouldn't give a shit if it was Reagan or Jimmy Carter or Darth Vader. It's a piece of cloth. Get over it.

Actually I started the thread, and I named the thread title that because Obama is the person whose image is upon flag.

And if you can't fathom why people, especially veterans, would be upset about this then I don't know what to tell you. The flag means something, it represents something. Maybe that varies from person to person, but I doubt many veterans like to think that they served for any man or any government, but an ideal that flag represents to them.

From the way you're carrying on I imagine you'd use the funeral flags for serviceman for toilet paper, cause it's just cloth.

And those people, like you, are plainly wrong. You can not deface an American flag if it was never an American flag to begin with.

I'd love to get these American heroes in a room and have a roundtable discussion about flying the Confederate flag and see how many heads explode from sheer cognitive dissonance.
