I’m very glad that Johns is finally getting around to exploring the Indigo Tribe and the creepy secret they’ve been hiding. They’ve been around spouting nonsense words and generally being a bit unsettling for a while now but it’s exciting that we’re finally going to find out why a Corps that’s supposedly about compassion seem so goddamn evil. The scene with Hal in the jail cell was very very creepy, especially with that weird emaciated monkey-man thing. The rest of the book, with Hal and Sinestro fighting eachother and the Guardians being a massive bunch of cunts is all stuff we’ve seen before, but it was good nonetheless. It was great to have Doug Mahnke back on artwork duties, he really is the perfect penciler for this series. I just hope the ‘shocking’ secret behind the Indigos isn’t a let-down, we’ve been waiting so long, it better be good!
