Not only from the origin-point of view but more from the themes often used within "alien race"

This is actually the first I'm hearing that Michael Bay is in charge of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film franchise.
The witness said Mr Brown then called out to Ms Hay's adult daughter: "Look at this, I'm tittie-f***ing your mother!".

But no one's ever retconned the origin of the Predators from being mutants to aliens. They were always aliens. It was established right in the opening scenes of the first movie that the Predator was an alien. And that has never changed from movie to movie, not even to suit the whims of some hack-ass director.
I just don't see how the comparison fits.

Oh wait. You mean Baxter Stockman, Krang, Bishop, Hun, Karai, Leatherhead, and Rat King.

Ninja Turtles Star Writes To Bay Over Remake Plans
One of the stars of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise has written an angry letter to director Michael Bay over his plans to remake the films.
The Transformers helmer is planning to bring back the characters for a new live action movie, but actor Robbie Rist, who played Michaelangelo in the 1990s films, is not happy with Bay's idea to recreate the turtles as "alien" life form instead of radioactive mutants.
Rist has written an open letter to Bay and posted the note on his Facebook.com page.
He writes, "You probably don't know me but I did some voice work on the first set of movies that you are starting to talk about sodomising.
"Look man, I think you have some pretty nifty action ideas... but seriously, Teenage Alien Ninja Turtles?
"I know believing in mutated talking turtles is kinda silly to begin with but am I supposed to be led to believe there are ninjas from another planet?... Oh what the hell am I talking to you for? The rape of our childhood memories continues..." »

With or without his voice attached to a giant turtle costume, this man is my hero.

Is he directing this or producing it?
It will be sad if this is a movie you can't take kids to like the transformers films.

So they decided to make the 2002 Shredder into another Krang basically which was so dumb. The problem with making Shredder a psycho badass and then revealing him to be a 1 foot alien blob is that it cheapened the character. At least when they had the Demon Shredder who was a much bigger threat than the Utrom Shredder, him you could take seriously.
With the Demon Shredder you had a badass human ninja warrior with the powers of a god that was scary as hell. With the Utrom Shredder, all you had to do was step on him and that would be the end of his story.

I hear what you're saying but the problem was that the villains they had after Shredder sucked. The only other good villains they have ever had in TMNT was Agent Bishop who would have been a much better character in the 2007 movie.

That show ran for several seasons after the the reveal of utrom shredder. I didn't like it either, but it worked out well for that show.

I am aware of that and I wasn't knocking the show by chance as I still watched it after that idiotic idea made it to print. I was just expressing how dumb that whole idea was in the first place-the irony was that I liked the 2002 Shredder as he was badass and scary as hell as opposed to the 80's toon Shredder who was mostly comic relief. However they ruined that by turning him into another Krang which didn't fit in well with the concept. However, the cartoon redeemed himself when they had the Tengu Shredder who was the best Shredder in my opinion.

Honestly, I enjoyed the Utrom Shredder more in execution. He was the worst Shredder of them all so far created. He was a genocidal monster who only loved destruction and cared not even if it killed himself. Plus if it wasn't for the Utrom Shredder we would never have had him decapitated on a Sat. morning cartoon show.
