And who said it absolved her? It partially explains her reaction, at her horror that she was complicit in the act. Just like Rick's anger at the group. Did he really kill his best friend for them? Fuck no, but he's just venting at their lack of appreciation for what he's done.

Why do you need to explain her reaction? She shouldn't be taking her issues out on Rick, whatever the reason. And her feeling complicit still makes her a Bitch. And you really missed the point if you think Rick was just venting because he didn't feel appreciated.
People saw Lori's reaction and chalked it up to her being a bitch. You can see it in the comments in this thread.

And they are still right.

No one brought up that she may feel guilty.
Or worried about her unborn child.
Or that that are all infected.
Or that Carl put down Shane.
Or that they now had no supplies.
No fuel.
No place to stay.
Oh, and that Rick pretty much wanted to kill Shane.

Yes, that's nitpicky...

She may have also had some moldy cheese that didn't agree with her or she just realized that she would miss the series finale of Desperate Housewives.

Talk about nitpicky.

That's a lot of conjecture on her reaction.

Also, the whole group acted badly to Rick, but Lori and Carl should get the most shit from fans. You shouldn't shit on family, especially the guy who has had you back for so long and has kept you alive.

You don't think wives take out stupid shit on their husbands? Dear Lord, I will then assume you are single. Talk to any married man, and learn the truth.

And it's not really a lot of conjecture when one of the creators of the show actually says it.

I'm married. And just because a lot of people do something, doesn't make it right.

"Oh poor Lori. She was feeling guilty so she was a raging bitch to her husband. Well that's ok."

Um...no.

And it's not really a lot of conjecture when one of the creators of the show actually says it.

Oh really? Then I guess you agree with me that Daryl is a racist then.

But I also think you misinterpreted what the guy said.

Ok, finally got to watch it, I will go back and read the rest of the thread now, but I am gonna post first, so I imagine I will be treading a lot of ground already covered here... deal bitches..

First... fuck yes, this is the episode I have been waiting for, zombie mufucking apocalypse bitches...

I missed half of the previous show, because my cable crapped out due to storms... I saw the beginning of the serious, and the end... which was awesome, fuck yeah Rick, stabby stabby that psycho assmaster... I dig this change, it worked, Rick killing him, then Carl finishing him off...

I knew I was right about what the CDC guy whispered to Rick.... but the reveal was epic...

The herd battle rocked, glad Hershel lived... Dale was set up to be the moral compass, but he just became a whiney douche... I think Hersh will step into that role very well.

It was pretty obvious who was going to die... the people who had less than 10 lines all season... but it was nice to see some violence...

Carol, you useless pathetic waste of life, once again, running off and hiding when people need you, letting others take the risks for you then crying about it afterwards... Sophia is better off dead than having you as a mother...

Darryl... as always, you are the miggeddy miggedy mac daddy, the daddy mac, and the man... the true backbone of the show and the reason I watch.

Maggie continues to be the most sympathetic and likable female in the cast, and her and Glenn are perfectly cast.... I love those kids, they are the second and third reasons I keep watching the show... and damn Mags is cute driving like a boss dj, while Glenn goes shotgun happy on some z-boys.

Carl... still useless, but I like the way he calls Rick out for being a wimp...

T-Dogg.... I keep forgetting about him completely... he shows up and I am like, damn, where has he been? He is no replacement for Tyreese.

Lori... oh Lori... you decietful backstabbing cunt... first you delilberately try to convince Rick to Kill Shane, then you get all "I'm sorry Shane, I loved your cock but I am amrried now, please don't be confused by the continuous mixed signals I am throwing your way".... Then when Shane tries to kill Rick, and Rick does kill him, just like she wanted, she gets all "you are an asshole for killing shane just like I told you to!" God I fucking despise her... I hope her baby dies in her womb, goes zombie baby, and eats its way out of her.

and finally... MICCHONE.... FUCK YEAH......

I believe the quote you posted said that Daryl was originally supposed to be a racist. That can suggest that plans may have changed depending on how you interpret the wording. I don't deny he may have racist tendencies but he's never been an outright racist on the show. Again, Merle is.

And I don't see what I misinterpreted. If anyone is misinterpreting, it's the people that categorized her reaction as "crazy bitch", like you... :-D

This is what the guy said:

So she can blame Rick for that, but she's horrified by her own culpability.

So she does blame Rick in that scene, making her a bitch. On the inside she may be hurting, but what's visible is her taking out her guilt on her husband. That makes her a bitch in my book. :smt102

I never said she wasn't a bitch.

A crazy inconsistent completely selfish lunatic bitch is what I've been arguing against. I think they've done a good job of creating a multi-faceted character, like many other characters on the show.

Glen Mazzara:

To me she did not ask for Rick to kill Shane. She just said take care of it because Shane struck an emotional cord when he said, ‘You know it’s true.’ She’s confused and this is a character that sanitizes the truth. She chooses to believe what she wants to be. She’s a control freak. That’s why she’s running around the kitchen saying we need to do this and that. Everybody thinks she’s sexist. No, that’s what she can control. You can’t control the world (that’s gone to hell).

So here, she tried to control Rick. Things got out of hand and led to a murder. We play the deaths in our show as very, very real, okay. We really feel the effects of the deaths on our characters. That’s something we put a lot of effort into and so do the actors and the directors. So when she learns that Shane was not killed by the zombie herd that he was killed by Rick’s own hand and Rick wanted to kill him, she’s horrified by the entire circumstance, she’s horrified by her own role in that as a catalyst, her own culpability and she is, I believe, dealing with thoughts of guilt and self-hatred.

She projects those onto her husband because who could possibly accept the idea that ‘I made my husband kill my former lover?’ That’s a horrible thought. So she’s going to push that out of her mind and just as she’s trying to do that, bam, oh, and your son’s involved. So she’s got a lot going on in that scene and she is appropriately fucked up.

I'm not blaming the show for having fallible characters. I don't want everybody to be goody-two-shoes and I certainly don't expect everyone to behave in a rational way during the zombie apocalypse. But

(a) I'm not going to pretend that people are not being dipshits when they obviously are and
(b) If you're going to write characters behaving like that you should show the consequences or it starts to stretch belief that these people have survived so long without brains.
