V the TV series is on scifi today and it's what inspired this thread.
It really hasn't aged well at all, I think Buck Rogers which was done 5-6 years earlier had much hirer production values and was a better show (hotter chicks too)
The other show I really looked forward too was a BBC production that I caught on public television called The Tomorrow People.
Doctor Who and Star Trek, of course. The Tomorrow People. Also: Blake's 7, which despite having very dodgy sfx is still one of the greatest (and bleakest) Sci-Fi shows I've ever seen. I think the series finale scarred me for life!
Oh geez.. .how could I forget Star Trek The Next Generation?
I maybe remembering it wrong, but for some reason I remember watching it and MacGyver on Sunday nights... maybe syndication on USA? I don't think those were the original air times.

I will have to check them out.

Blake's 7 was about a group of (mostly pretty amoral) outlaws on the run and fighting an evil Federation of Planets, while Sapphire and Steel was a deeply odd program about agents of order who were tasked with fixing time glitches (as I recall).
