When was it on?

Early 80's. It starred David McCallum and Joanna Lumley: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sapphire_%26_Steel

The truly creepy thing about Sapphire & Steel is seeing Joanna Lumley today, compared to how hot she was back then. :smt005

I can't believe the love for Buck Rodgers - I tried to watch the DVDs recently -- its horrifically bad; it has not aged well.

Star Blazers was my favorite growing up.

I remember this show, but, I was too young to understand the humor.

And Emma you really need to reevaluate Buck Rogers, it's full of the type of awesome that Star Blazers lacked i.e. Wilma Deering and Princess Ardala.

Agreed on both points.

I do, however, think the opening to Buck Rodgers is still awesome.

No idea if this holds up because I was just a stupid kid when it was on but I used to love this show called Crime Traveller, which only had one series. It was my introduction to the B-Theory of time. They did a really good job, IIRC, of showing that you couldn't change history. Whatever you did had already been done.

I had lots of love for it - INCLUDING the HAWK GUY until I tried to watch it a few months ago... Watching it brought me to the conclusion it was better as a memory than a show
