Compared to the last title. No its not. This is some of Gail's worst work next to Wonder Woman and Firestorm.

Gail's doing a great job at exploring ideas like PTSD, and the idea that you can't completely escape the past, because the past finds new ways to haunt you. (Like this issue and Grotesque, who turned out to be a member of The Joker's gang from The Killing Joke when Babs was shot.

Maybe because I'm not that big of a fan of wonder woman but I'm enjoying this reboot and don't care about this detail. I love that they played up the mythology/fantasy aspect of the series, for years it always seems to me that wonder woman fighting crooks, cheetah or mad scientists as a little bit silly. She's so powerful compared to them. Even in the Justice League, they should just call her if they're fighting a world eater the size of jupiter or something epic.

I did not care for Welcome To Tranquility, but her strongest work was the other two books you mentioned.

I'll have to check out Tranquility some time, it sounds like the best bet for me liking it.
