Mega Man 2 was the first one I played (used to rent it from local video store whenever my Dad would take me).
Mega Man 3 was the first one that I was able to play extensively and the first one I beat (although I cheated--I used the trick where you put a rubber band on the second controller's right arrow to give you super jumps). My best friend and next-door-neighbor owned it, and he let me borrow it.
Mega Man 4 was the first one I owned. My Dad picked me up from try-outs for the school play when I was in 6th grade, and he had the game as a present for me hidden underneath the seat.

I love all three of those games, and I would be hard-pressed to pick a favorite among them. However, I can pretty safely say that if I could only have three NES games, it would be them. I love lots of NES games--it is my favorite system--but something about those three Mega Man games make them so special to me. The music, the graphics, the characters, the gameplay... just perfect games.

Their justification that this is not a serious game therefore they want to go with a non-serious Mega Man seems lame. If I was a MM fan, I would be upset. :smt011

I strongly suspect that this is the reason:

Hell, the fact that they are saying that it isn't a serious game should also make Street Fighter and Tekken fans upset. I am sure that a lot of people have waited for this match-up for a long time.

I smiled when I saw it. It's the kind of humor I enjoy: it pisses on everybody :D
To develop their conscience and consciousness, to make them aware of what is going on, to prepare the precarious ground for the future alternatives—this is our task: "our" not only as Marxists but as intellectuals, and that means all those who are still free and able to think by themselves and against indoctrination, communist as well as anticommunist.

I would love to know what the people at Capcom were high on when they green-lighted this very stupid decision. I can't help but wonder if this was a blatant screw you to the creator of Mega Man after he left Capcom on bad terms.
