Starts off with a Modok in Washington and Scarlet Witch shows up. Battle ensues, she kicks ass... for a bit. His cyber-thugs over power her til Ms Marvel and Spider-Woman help out. Girl moments ensue and they convince her to come back to the mansion. Once there, Vision rips her a new one. Then she cries and leaves. Then he cries.

Cut to the preview of Hope and Scott. She takes off and fights the Serpent Society on her own, which was fun. She is viscious. Seriously, I never really read her in a comic but yeah. Scott and Emma come get her and the her back to Utopia. She is thinking to herself and the Phoenix is in her eyes.

Starts off in some remote planet with some alien child looking over a farm field, then a light in the sky and Boom! Bye planet. Cut to earth with the avengers hanging out at the avengers tower then a plane explodes in the sky. They do the avengers thing and follow the object the crashes thru the wing. They learn it's Nova and the warning happens. Cut to the previews with the Meeting with the prez, Cap with Logan, and then Cap with Cyke.

Cap pretty much says Phoenix is coming and we need Cykes help. He says no, this is a mutant problem and we'll take he'll take care of it. The Phoenix could help the rebirth of mutants, but Cap thinks it could destroy earth. And that is that. Cyke asks where was Cap during all the mutant issues they were dealing with. Cap says he stayed out if it out if respect fir him. Cap says that convo us for another time, we need to take Hope.

Cyke: "respectively, leave my island"

Cap: "You understood I wasn't asking"

Cyke: "I understood"

Cyke then shoots Cap

Avengers assembled. Shit hits the fan.

I loved it. Mindless reading but good fun mindless reading

Okay so.. that explains the Vision's pissy fit on Magneto in that Avengers preview. Geez obsessive much Vision? Yelling at Wanda and then attacking her father.

I think the Avengers happened first, because he wanted to speak to Wanda.

My store had it on the shelf, I bought it. Went back it was gone, turns out it was put out early.

I lucked out.

Oh, Magma is seen in the background of this. The NM are in the mini but not crossing into the title it seems.

Mags comments a few times on Cyke, and his behavior. As does Emma, which I found interesting.

Especially Mags comments on Scott's "compulsion"

How? The Phoenix Force has been burning through worlds as we saw in Point One and the beginning of this issue. It's committing even more genocide than Jean Grey, Thanos and Hal Jordan have combined. And Cyclops instead wants to control it to restore the mutant race?

I know the writers wanted to make Cap and Cyke adversarial to get to the fight ASAP, but Cyclops's rationale was stupid. "It's a force of rebirth, just like the D'Bari system in the Dark Phoenix Saga found out when Jean made their sun go nova."

At this rate I'm expecting him to be wearing a Magneto helmet by the end.

But coming to the island and demanding to take Hope is going to solve the problem? Why can't Hope stay on the island and the Avengers help out from there? If the Phoenix intends to destroy Earth it'll happen no matter where Hope is.
