I just came up with some interesting theories regarding the Hobgoblin matter currently. First off, does anyone think it's so odd that the Kingpin would just take Urich's word that Kingsley is dead without seeing a body? I know this was something that was touched on earlier but the more I think about it, this is a clue withing itself as to where things are heading. I believe Kingpin is secretly setting Phil up to take a fall as I don't think he buys the story that Kingsley is dead and is just playing along by keeping Phil around as his lackey. Given the fact that the Kingpin knows that Kingsley has faked his death before and how odd it was that Phil knew about the job he gave Kingsley and how he knew how to come back to Fisk tower, he would definately think that something is up. Chances are Fisk secretly investigated the claim that Kingsley is truly dead and planted a tracking device on Phil to find out who he really was-I believe Kingpin knows that Phil Urich is the new Hobgoblin and that Norah is secretly working for either Fisk or Kingsley herself-or maybe Norah is working for both of them at the same time and is playing all sides.
Another theory I have is that I believe that Kingsley had something to do with Spider Island and was working with the Jackal. Does anyone remember at the end of Spider Island where the Jackal stated that he was monitoring the whole event from afar and sent a clone in his place to work with the Queen? Perhaps Kingsley was also monitoring the event with the Jackal and funded his projects. Maybe he and the Jackal are working together to take down the Kingpin and take over New York. It is funny how Marvel released that one-shot of both the Jackal and the Hobgoblin that highlighted their origins last year during the Spider-Island event so maybe this was more than a coincidence from where I stand.

So where is the body then? We still haven't seen Kingsley's head holding up Phil's copy of Legacy of Evil.

Exactly my point. Besides we never did see the face of the goblin that was decapitated so that could have well been a decoy that Kingsley sent to the hideout. So sad that this obvious fact has to keep being rehashed for argument's sake.

Well I still say it was all in Phil's head. We have no other witnesses in the book save an unstable nutcase.

There's also the fact that Roderick Kingsley has (or had?) A twin brother who would fill in for him...

Considering I just bought his first appearance this weekend I would like. To see him come back.

While I do not see cannibalism for Phil I do see he will be going over the edge soon enough.

Very true. It would be interesting to think that maybe Roderick decided to get revenge on Daniel for betraying him years ago by brainwashing him as a dupe and most likely set him up to be killed. However, there is still the issue that no reports of Kingsley's body behind that I Hop has been seen so it leaves the question as to whether there was an actual body in the first place.

Interesting but very disturbing theory. However until proven otherwise, I still say that that Kingsley being alive is still very much possible.

Exactly what I keep saying. But like I was saying earlier, I find it suspect that Fisk would just believe Phil that Kingsley is dead without seeing a body. I believe Fisk is doing what Norman did with Kingsley during the "Goblins At The Gate" storyline where he played along with the Hobgoblin's scheme like he was none the wiser until Kingsley played his hand and then waited to strike. The Kingpin doesn't trust Phil at all and is keeping close tabs on him and is most likely waiting for Kingsley to come back out in the open and reveal his true intentions. I also theorize that Norah is secretly working for either Fisk or Kingsley to keep tabs on Phil and then dispose of him when neither have any more use for him.
