Late to the Party: Game of Thrones

Postby TROY » Thu Mar 29, 2012 10:52 pm

I am sure there is a thread about this show somewhere on here already but damn I didn't won't to waste time looking for it.

I started watching the first season last night when I got off work, my wife had bought the DVD set yesterday. I have two episodes left to watch, and damn if this ain't one good goddamn show! I am tempted to get HBO so I can watch season 2 when it starts on Sunday!

Khal Drogo and Daenerys Targaryen are my favorite characters on the show thus far and of course Tyrion Lannister because he steals every scene he is in!

Ditto. I only watched like two episodes and thought it was alright. I just finished the first season tonight. Wow. Just wow. The characters are really great. Though like a friend once told me of this series, "If you like a character. They're SOOOO gonna die."

WHY NED? WHY He but was just too honest a guy for this sleazy world.

Also I enjoy Tyrion and Bronn. But I enjoyed the other one first.

Sean Bean die in everything?

Tyrion is awesome. Theres a reason that actor won just about every major award for that role. He's awesome.

Daenerys and Aria are my two favorite characters on the show. And Jon Snow, of course. Daenerys seems to have some awesome stuff coming up next season, so I am pleased.

Really a hell of a lot of characters being introduced next season. Probably not a problem in the books, but I hope they can balance them all in the show.

Sean Bean is the Kenny McCormick of actors.

Basically. He was even the pilot for that new ABC show "Missing" well for about 4 minutes.

Finished up the last 4 episodes of season one last night, very good but also pissed me off when Ned and Drogo both died!! Much like TWD books you cannot get attached to characters in this series undoubtedly!

Daenerys and Tyrion continued to be amazing, I loved the ending of the last episode! I really need to get the books and read them because I keep coming up with theories as to what is actually beyond the Wall and what is coming and how they are gonna defeat it and I want to know how close my theories are to what is actually going to happen!

Non-spoiler alert: Five books in and GRRM doesn't know what's going to happen with the stuff beyond the wall yet.

It's funny though. He only lives in roles that are usually a death warrant. Example: Troy, Ronin, Sharpe, Silent Hill, and National Treasure.
