My first drawing of 2012! This is a Loki commission in the inked stage. I'll be rendering this with Copic markers in the next couple of days.

Go for it! :)

I usually don't do them, but my sister asked me to draw two pieces for her new room (one of Loki, the other of Noctourne and Nightcrawler). She sweetened the deal with cashola, so I couldn't say no.

But yeah, since there isn't that much demand, I might start doing them "regularly."

:smt009

They're basically the non-crappy version of Prismacolor markers. They are a little more "wet" and come out a bit like thick watercolor, and they're easier to blend. They also make them with brush-like tips, similar to the Sakura Brush Pen that I use for most of my linework these days.

Here's a drawing of a World War II pinup girl. My sister saw me working on this one and complained that her breasts were too big, so of course I made them a little bigger. :D

Fresh off the scanner ...

I really do miss Spider-Girl. :(

She came out looking slightly older and slightly buffer than I wanted, but I think it works in a "what could have been" sort of way. I feel robbed by the fact that we'll never get to see the superhero she would have been as a young woman.

I've been on a bit of a Spider-Girl kick lately, but that's never a bad thing. However, this piece has taught me that I should never attempt to draw a baby ever again, for the sake of humanity. :P

Space ... the final frontier ...

The planets are done with marker, but they didn't come out in the scan the way I expected. I like the textured effect, though, so I decided to run with it.

It's gorgeous, great composition. I really like your use of Kirby crackle in space, and the ship looks great superimposed over that planet!

I was so dissatisfied with how shitty the original version was that I decided to redo the entire thing. Now that Benjy doesn't look like Don Rickles, all is well! :)

I dun goofed. I thought I posted this right after I finished it back in January, but I guess I forgot. Well, here it is -- Loki, rendered with Copic Markers as per the commissioner's request.
