Just got back home from the Launch Party at New England Comics Brockton, MA store.

The party started at 8pm and had a decent sized crowd. The first thing that caught my attention was the beautiful lady the store hired to dress up as Emma Frost. After glancing away to avoid my state's leering laws, I notice the free AvX cake with lots of copies of issue one of the book laid out beside it. Would have gone for some but some one took the knife. I grabbed a copy that didn't look like it had frosting on it and got in line to pay. The manager came around with a box of free random promo posters to give away. It was at this point that I turned around to see that the line for the register was now stretched around the book cases and back to the end of the store. When we got to the register we got our choice of Avengers or X-Men pins. There were also artist there doing sketches for people. All in all a good event for the premiere of a comic book.
