Eva is the only anime that I enjoy the fights but I cannot watch the endings because they're like a Grant Morrison comic.. they hurt my head to think of all that's going on around. However if it's true of eltopo's theory then dang that's a nice way to reinterpret things and keep this almost personal hell keep going.

Hehehe.During 20 odd episodes Misato were promising fan service during the "next episode" previews.I guess during the production of "Rebuild" they decide to deliver on those promises. :lol:

But for what you said I think you would like Naoki Urasawa's Monster.It have great and well constructed mature characters who looks their age,a deep intriguing plot and(IMO) a awesome opening theme

When Koharu impales Eva 01 using his Eva Mark 6 he says something that had made some fans theorize that he was somehow aware of the events of the original series/movies.

but like I said before the first line he says in this new movie implies to me he knows about the original

I'll have to check it out I used to love anime but really nothing seen eva has really interested me

yeah that's exactly what I think Shinji (on a subconscious level) is trying to fix his world but is so broken he just can't get it right
that or perhaps seele is pulling the strings forcing shinji to go through this time and time again until he gets it right

I feel that for Eva, people need to go outside of the anime to get what's going on. Any time anyone has ever tried to tell me that they "got" what was going on, they always refer me to something outside the anime to do so.

I was told, some time ago, that people completes art work by means of adding meanings to it that may or may be not have been on the mind of the artist. Half of Eva's fan wacky talk is within the series, and aknowledged by author, so it is not outside the anime. Art without reference is imposible.

One of the best aspects of Eva is how sex is played, I mean, Misato as a character, Asuka/Rei contrast, Gendo and his wacky adventures...

Do you remember that scene in which Azuka is in the hospital and Shinji says "I'm despicable" or something along. There is speculation about him masturbating in that scene, and it is a powerful scene, you know, the girl there, everyone dying... Sometimes sex fleshes out characters, even when they're 14-15.

I mean I understand it in relationship to the characters, but like I said above it's the needless panty shots and things that bug me. in the second rebuild movie Asuka gets a new plugsuit and of course the suit is 80% see thru

This and Cowboy Bebop are two of the few anime series I like.

The ending via the movie was frustrating to watch though....was so good and then went to hell wih endless triply scenes.
