Think this is maybe one of the reason Toonami is back?

No, but I would love to see it happen. I said as much on the podcast. :)

Kenshin to Fight Live-Action Film's Characters in New Manga

The May issue of Shueisha's Jump Square magazine revealed on Wednesday that Nobuhiro Watsuki's new Kenshin manga series, Rurouni Kenshin -Cinema-ban- (Rurouni Kenshin: Cinema Version), will focus on battles fought with characters from the upcoming live-action film. The issue has a feature promoting the "reboot" of the Rurouni Kenshin series, although the magazine is not necessarily using the term "reboot" with the English denotation in mind. The new manga series will begin in the next issue of Jump Square on May 2.

I think it would work, if they did get it and played it. It would be a great hook.

Yep. New Thundercats would be nice too. Maybe they can put on your Madoka Magica too.

Madoka Magica like Another would have to be played at night. They are not for kids. Both have graphic deaths in them. Both are very much worth seeing.

Rinne no Lagrange is another show that should be seen in North America. Anime has built up a number of series that could rather well and have niche audiences with a new and returning viewership.

Kore wa Zombie Desu ka, Ben-To, Ano Natsu de Matteru, Gundam Unicorn, Shakugan no Shana, Mai-Otome, Mai-HIME, Bakemonogatari/Nisemonogatari are all, or were good shows for America. Though some like Bakemonogatari/Nisemonogatari are more for late night while Ben-To would need some explanation. Kore wa Zombie Desu ka... may have to be late night given some of the language... if they want to keep the humor up.

I get Toonami and Adult Swim mixed up a lot. I think because on some days they might have butt up against each other. Also in Hawaii the times are different so Adult Swim didn't play that late at night. It would be cool if they had a nice long block with Toonami for the teens and merging into Adult Swim/Late Night Toonami for other stuff.

Here, they mostly played on YTV and they tended to place the more adult, language and situation based, shows on later times. CRTC has some rules on that, so they couldn't be played prior to a certain time of night anyway. I rarely watched as I was never a fan of the dubs, thought two or more weren't bad at all. (Cowboy Bebop, Full Metal Alchemist, Inu-Yasha) but I go for the subs. I also hated that the shows were butchered with on screen adverts. But I liked the fact that the stuff was on and making fans. Right now, I'm smiling at Topo's Evangelion thread for the love of it there and for Cowboy Bebop that's been mentioned.
