This game, I'll post two characters and from there you'll take one if those characters and team them up another character.  And this character you choose can be from ANY medium. 

ie: let's say I start with Cable and Han Solo, in your post you will choose one of those characters (let's say Han) then you'll team Han up with another character and so on and so forth.

It was within the rules for me to pick Firebird as opposed to the lame character from a talk show!

You have a point, but although what you did was not against the rules as written, I still say it was against the spirit of the rules. We all want to see our choice teamed up with the next choice afterall. So, my final word to you on this matter is
