I just had Lobdell on the podcast too and it sounds like a few things could be changing in the book soon.

Unless its the creative team its not gonna help.

Listen to the interview. Lobdell specifically said and thought that there was stuff from the old continuity he could use, editorial corrected him.

The writing on the book is strong, that's very much the Tim from before and honestly? Bunker isn't a stereotypical guy man. I could easily see him causing trouble with Devil and Beetle from before. :smt102

Dude Bunker is not just 1 sterotype he's 2 thats worse. The only question I want someone to ask is what happened to Lobdell's ability to write a decent story. His Tim is kinda the same as before but thats one character in 2 books.

Bunker isn't a stereotype. I mean sure, it's pretty damn obvious where the kid is from but he's a teenager, he's going to talk a certain way with the culture and personality he grew up in.

And just go listen to the podcast, it might change your mind on a few things. :smt102

Yep.

As bizarre as it was, Cry for Justice is better than Geoff John's JLA. It's just so....bland.

Johns pre infinite crisis arc was a million times better
And morrison's darkseid arc was a million times better
Johns dropped the ball

Is this a case of "time eases all memories" or something? Cry For Justice was awful...Godawful. It will always be one of the worst editorially mandated Justice League stories I have ever read. Ever. Robinson should have just Watchmen'd that shit and used analogues as not a single cast member acted in character. Ugh. Pure dreck. This coming from someone who would have walked into he desert with Robinson after Starman.

No it wont. Lobdell needs to retire and someone needs to "accidentally" shut a car door on Booths hands. Seriously Booths art is Liefeld levels of awfulness.

They should have used Hero Cruz instead of Bunker. Now there was a character that was a thousand times better then Bunker.

Nah. I'm nodding my head, as shown above. :P

I'm saving my laughter for when the DCnU hype dies down for good, and all this crap finally goes down in flames.

Try telling that to the B-C List characters he killed off in Cry for Justice.
Try telling that to the lady in my avatar, and the rest of the characters he clumsily wrote in his Justice League run.

I don't want that ridiculously incompetent "JUSTICE!!" Robinson near ANY more such characters.

Editorial had a major hand in that story.
I didn't love or hate his take on her.

The "JUSTICE!" lines were, are and will still remain stupid.

He took the writing credit and the paycheck for the story??
Then he takes the blame, too.

As much as I dislike much of what Gerard Jones wrote for DC, I respect him for one thing above all else: When DC Editorial told him to ruin Hal Jordan's reputation in what would be "Emerald Twilight", he said NO, and walked away from the book. Clearly, "JUSTICE!!" Robinson wouldn't do such a thing.

I didn't love or hate his take on her.

So you have no opinion on Rape As Redemption??
Or the Chickification done to her to facilitate it??

The "JUSTICE!" lines were, are and will still remain stupid.

And it's just another reason why his writing is garbage.
