I don't get the need for Superman to wear his underwear on the outside or why Green Lanterns wear masks when they're millions of light years away from anyone who would recognize them. It's a comic book, it looks cool, "need" has nothing to do with it.

I recall it and have that mini-series. I like it, but it's one of those costumes that the artist has to like for it to look good.

And changing Superman's costume to all blue with clouds or GL's to Starboy's before the mask would be silly.

I have a question: What happened to that young Aquaman? I mean, pre-flashpoint. Dead, limbo'd? Last time I remember seeing him was a number of Outsiders in which Batman cleans the floor with him, from a discourse point of view.
To develop their conscience and consciousness, to make them aware of what is going on, to prepare the precarious ground for the future alternatives—this is our task: "our" not only as Marxists but as intellectuals, and that means all those who are still free and able to think by themselves and against indoctrination, communist as well as anticommunist.

This is what his Comic Vine entry says:

http://www.comicvine.com/arthur-joseph-curry/29-43498/

Arthur first appeared in issue 40, of Aquaman (renamed with this issue: Aquaman: Sword of Atlantis). It was marked with the "One Year Later" stamp. It began with Arthur swimming downward, and eventually hearing a voice asking him his name. The voice mistakes him for Aquaman because their first and last names are the same.

The voice directs him to a large battle between King Shark, and many other sea creatures. The voice tells him to help King Shark, and the two of them hold off the sea creatures until more sharks arrive. At this point, King Shark grabs Arthur, and then the voice leads them to a creature known as the, "Dweller In The Depths". It gives Arthur a set of armor that is similar to that of the original Aquaman (orange shirt, green pants), as well as a sword.

Arthur eventually abandons his position shortly before Blackest Night, not being able to take the pressure of carrying on the original Aquaman's position. Tempest succeeds him on the throne for a short time.

He just sort of wandered off after abandoning the throne of Atlantis and hasn't been seen since. Since he wasn't received all that well as a character, I have to wonder if he even exists at all in the NuDCU.

Many thanks :)

Not really, if I recall correctly, the similar names was just shrugged off as a coincidence. :smt102
