Rose and Thorn has always been good even through the different interpretations over the years.

I like the idea of done-in-one showcases.

You had me until "Lemire".

Okay, you still have me, just not as exuberantly.

They had me at Rose, they lost me at "and Thorn"

Actually DC was formerly known as National, National Publications or more technically National Allied Publications.

"National Comics" was a comic published by Quality Comics (home to: Blackhawk, Plastic Man, Uncle Sam, Phantom Lady and the always popular Red Bee).

Even if the other issues are written by Alan Moore, Garth Ennis, Jesus and Hickman?

Alan Moore, Garth Ennis and Jonathan Hickman are too good for DC and Jesus is too busy hanging out with Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy.

It seems DC is quickly reaching the point (if it hasn't already) of becoming more and more "crash-TV" like. They seem to be throwing everything up against the wall to see what sticks.
