Yeah we don't really know so much with the Avengers in Ultimate Spider-man, we just know the big three are active and pretty famous.
We might assume that the fantastic four are active, based on the fact that the fearsome four is around.

"Pepper, throw your shoes at me!"
I find Tony very unlikeable in the series, but I liked him in this episode.
I really hate the Civil War stuff, it's just shoehorned in and just makes Maria Hill very unlikeable like her early appearances.

MrBlack wrote:In all fairness, the first episode of Ultimate Spider-Man indicated that Spidey had been active for a year at the beginning of the series. Indeed, part of the point of the first few episodes is that he is meant to help train the next generation of young heroes because of his experience. It's not clear how long the Avengers have been active in the Ult. Spidey world. He may look up to them not because they're long time heroes (Thor and Cap excepted), but because they're the powerful, adult heroes who save the world on a near daily basis, while Spidey webs up bank robbers. They're the big time, while he's still struggling.
I didn't see this episode, so I can't comment on anything said there, but nothing I've seen in Ultimate Spidey would indicate that the Avengers are better established than Spider-Man is, or that they have been around longer in that continuity. They're just more recognized heroes, while Spidey is a small time vigilante.
And are we comparing two seperate cartoons? Because if so I think it's only fair to mention that their art styles and mannerisms (most noteably Nick Fury) would seem to indicate that they're set in different universes.

I was pretty excited to see mention of the X-Men. Hopefully we'll get to see some of them show up
No not you Wolverine. We're all pretty sick of you.

I'd like to see Rogue cause now one on the Avengers has similar powers. It would be the sucky one from Wolverine and the X-men though, they're the same universe right? Emma, so she can piss everyone off.

Nightcrawler and Cyclops of course.

Winter Soldier?

I hope they're going to explain this long before this episode airs.

Rockman mentioned A:EMH and the Ulimate Spider-Man cartoon. I gave my take on the Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon.
