Mattel Ends Young Justice and Cancels DC All Stars

Not so good news for toy collectors of Mattel's latest descion on the fates of their Young Justice and DC Universe lines.

Is it just me or does it seem like kids just don't play with toys anymore?

And why does Plastic Man have pants?

I guess. I only buy fodder to do customs.

GI Joes go for what, $8 now? So how much do those go for? Add the speculator/ebay bullshit, and I'd rather buy a videogame if I were a kid.

Last time I looked at the price of a Mattel DC '6 figure it was $18. Their Masters of the Universe vs. DCU two pack line are always priced $30 at Toys R Us.

Most of the Young Justice action figures were cheap looking and didn't have a lot of articulation.

Agreed. I looked at the Cheshire/Ra's Al Ghul two pack and just hated the fact that the former's sai's were painted onto her figure and not given as an accessory.

It doesn't help when all the good stuffed gets snatched up by adult collectors and dealers. It's one of the reasons I quit buying action figures in the first place. I've only bought a few since 1997.

Yeah the art of dealers is a pain. Them snatching everything up and selling it for triple the price. But it doesn't help when toy companies feed this problem. For example Transformers Prime First Edition anyone?
