It's largely random which articles get picked up and which one's don't. For whatever reason, this press release did, and resulted in a king's bounty of hits.

I'm so torn. One on hand it's Peter Parker and it's written by Bendis. On the other hand it's Miles Morales and it's drawn by Pichelli. I'm on the fence with this one. :-(

Technically, Punchy's post was reporting on the NY Daily News article announcing the event while this post is a seperate press release which contains different information.

Also, merging the LOLtron threads would be useless as the front page would simply create a new one. Taking down Punchy's article would remove the comments attached to it, which would cause potential butthurt of its own.

All in all, it's simply less of a pain to just keep both of them up and force posters to decide whether to comment in one or both of the threads. :lol:
