Capcom held their usual Captivate conference (?) a little while back. They embargo the news from that event though.

Tomorrow, April 10, is the day that embargo is listed. News should be trickling out about 11am EST (8am PST).

I remember when the Wii first came out how folks were saying how dumb they'd look playing it. I commented that gamers already look dumb when they play. Well maybe they'll look dumber now...

Nintendo Registers 'Super Mario 4'

At its last investor's presentation in January, Nintendo announced it was working on a new 2D Mario adventure game. Outside of a release date prior to April 2013, no further details were given by company president Satoru Iwata. However just days ago, Nintendo registered a domain for 'supermario4.com'.

Speaking of Mario, I am now going to recommend a hilarious Let's Play series on YouTube: Koopa Kung-Fu's Let's Play Super Paper Mario!

I happened upon it due to enjoying reading about Non-Standard Game Overs on a certain site. :wink:

One of the ones from Super Paper Mario can occur before you even truly begin playing the game! I looked for it on YouTube, and stumbled into this Let's Play series... which is why I haven't been posting quite as much as usual here for the past few weeks! :oops:

Even if you don't watch every video like I did (they can get pretty long), at least check out the first one.

Nintendo to Show Mario, Pikmin for Wii U at E3

Nintendo has confirmed that both Pikmin and Mario will make appearances at E3 2012 on Wii U.

Nintendo released the following statement regarding Pikmin:

"In a recent interview, Mr. Miyamoto confirmed that a new Pikmin game will be shown at the E3 Expo in June. He believes that anyone who has played Pikmin games in the past will enjoy playing."

Separately, Nintendo said the following about Mario:

"In a recent interview, Mr. Miyamoto confirmed that a new Super Mario Bros. game for the Wii U system will be shown at this year's E3 Expo. This is based on the Mario experience that was demonstrated at last year's E3 Expo. We'll have more to announce about our plans for the E3 Expo at a later date."
