Young Justice better than Avengers? Like hell it is!!

Avengers establishes the world better with EVERYTHING. Little cues here and there with easter eggs. When they do something like say how they brought DOOM into the show first with the cameo of Lucia and Doombots at the beginning then having Doom himself in full force. That's how you do it. Or with what they're doing with the Kree/Skrulls.

Also Avengers juggled their plots better. You got some resolution with whatever the A plot was while the B or C plots continued on. YJ just takes it's sweet time with the payoffs. We have yet get payoff on the traitor with them.

Then there's the greatest fact of all. They both came out at the same time. One is currently on Season Two, while the other is still at long last at the tail end of Season One. That sort of waiting kills interest like it did for me.

Avengers also balances their characters a lot better than YJ. Not one single character is the entire focus. Everyone gets their little spot to shine.

Thanks for reading.

Some of you have made points that I wanted to include, but I didn't want the article to get too long.

I think Avengers has done a better job with the villains. They have introduced quite a few and it feels like there's a ton of them in the universe. I still stand by the YJ expanded universe. We constantly see news reports of the Justice League and we know they're on missions and such.

I know about the hints to the X-men, but other than the FF, we don't see anyone.

You mean like the Skrull storyline started in the first season and still not ended?

You're being a little silly.

There have been complex plots in YJ. In fact, the entire Injustice Society was just a red herring. And much else has been the Light building for their plot.

Much of Season 1 for the Avengers was Loki manipulating everyone to get what he wanted. Everything was pretty much due to him, so I don't get the hate for the Light, but the love for Loki and his machinations.

And when you have a group composed of Ra's, Luthor and Savage, I would think that they deserve the time...

If the light has one of Zechs favorite villains as the leader.... he'll love the storyline.

Meanwhile, he's just being a Marvel Zombie. Both have had great story lines (that is ignoring the Civil Craptacular elements in Avengers) and characterizations with spotlights on the characters.

I really enjoy both shows, and I'm generally a Marvel Zombie.

I just think YJ is the superior show.

I'm not a zombie for either company and love them both the same, but with the shows, YJ gets the point ahead of Avengers strictly based on the style of the animation, which I prefer, and the over all approach with a shadow war of sorts between the heroes and villains. Add to that that I think the YJ show is giving us all something far better then what the comics are and have been giving us for years now. Both shows are great where they are playing, for the most part, with the actual comics continuity. But also with a few changes here and there that work for this all. Avengers is also an interesting blend of the comics and movies so far... in some ways.

Well, it's not just for the toys, but also to make them interested in the movies and clothes and posters and notebooks and back packs (and to a lesser extent the comics, DVDs, etc.).and just create brand awareness from a young age. Even if a kid doesn't buy the toys, they will probably spend some money on some stuff as they get older

But yeah, both shows are aimed directly at that age group, My 2 year old daughter loves Avengers (which is brighter colored and has Hulk, who she loves) and enjoys YJ (though the darker colors lead to her zoning out more often), and my 7 year old loves both shows equally.

They are fun for older fans, but neither show is going to convert anyone that doesn't already like superhero stuff or that doesn't like cartoons in general. I guess you could say both shows are aimed at parents to watch with their kids, which could be fairly true, but there's a reason both shows are on in the mornings on weekends on kid channels and not in prime time on a major network or FX or something.
