So right now awaiting to report the first panel at the con for me, DC Direct. I got here at noon and the place was crawling with people. Geez I thought it was supposed to open to the public at 1 pm?! Still, awesome con. This is where the action is at now for Chicago and comics.

As for cosplayers. Nothing of note so far. Just one good Black Widow, Sexy Mario and Bowser (aka Rule 34 or is it 69? Herald which one is gender swapping?). Two really awful cosplayers made me gag though. A real chubby Ventress and Emma Frost cosplayers making their way around the con floor. WHY COSPLAY OF SOMETHING YOU DON'T LOOK LIKE!? AAAAH!!!

Already got some sketches reserved from Clay Mann, Mark Brooks, and another for Magneto, Holocaust, and Hela. Nothing good so far for figures. Well save the latest wave of G.I. Joes. No sign of the latest Marvel Universe figures ANYWHERE. I want my damn Beta Ray Bill!! :cry:

DC All Access Panel is late for some reason. Probably due to Scott Snyder autographing so many people.

The days thoughts?

For a Friday this was packed. I mean insanely. I've been to this con last year and the Wizardworld's. They're usually the calm before the Saturday storm. This was more packed then both of those. It took me a half hour just to get Scott Snyder's autograph.

Getting sketches was insane. Amanda Conner was all but fully booked by today.

And in other news, an attendee of Chicago's C2E2 Comic Convention was led away in handcuffs today, reportedly after accosting a guest. Eyewitnesses say he appeared intoxicated and was screaming "You don't understand the Hobgoblin!" repeatedly before being tazed by security.
