this series is very William Friedkin and early Brian Depalma. 'Rockford Files.' It's an early '70s urban grit story. You almost expect Hawkeye to come around the corner and bump into Power Man and Iron Fist from 30 years ago.

"There are some big bads we're working towards. There's one in particular that it will be fun to put Hawkeye against and it makes a kind of conceptual sense, but I don't want to give it away. i LOVE Hawkeye (in my top 5 Marvel heroes). i love Aja. and i like Fraction more often than not.


but Kate Bitchop's inclusion may by itself make me pass on this fucking book. fuck her, fuck Heinberg for creating her, and fuck Fraction for including her. unless she dies in the first issue, in which case, bravo.

Also, I'm really looking forward to finding out who this villain is that they are moving over to be a Hawkeye villain. I think Crossbones would be great as an adversary for him that's mostly been associated with someone else, but not on the Daredevil/Kingpin or Wolverine/Sabertooth level
