Well, this was the last good issue they ever had.

Still don't know why they didn't just cancel here because there really weren't any more Avengers stories that 'needed to be told'.

By ill or rightful means DC owns the characters to do whatever the hell they want with them.
Readers are free to buy or not buy them prequels.Moore and his more rabid fans should already stop their whining and move the hell on.Otherwise I had said and heard just about anything I care about this whole thing.

That would seem to go without saying, but not preclude discussing the marketing and publicity being done at this very moment, or the IP issues beyond Pre-Watchmen or whatever it's being called.

And to Arion, where did that Tim Pilcher article come from??

d'oh you're right.

another example would be Ender's game and Ender's shadow. Shadow didn't need to be told, but it was a good book.

But in both cases the author was involved in the project. That is not happening here.

His Wonder Woman hasn't been that great (and barely good) either.

How about Highlander? There was a movie worth telling, then along came teh sequals. Or how about Superman Returns? What would StM be without Singer's Requel?

Best case scenario, Before Watchmen is Jar Jar Binks and TPM, worst case scenario BW is Highlander II. Either way, DC's talent pool should be ashamed of themselves that they aren't writing this generation's equivalent to Watchmen.

I know I am.

By that rationale, you must be a big fan of Justin Bieber then I take it? As long as it makes money it must be gud!

That has nothing to do with it (even though many of these BW titles should be very good). The absurdity of "they should be ashamed" for doing this project, well, that's a different story.
