He was created by the head of Marvel Animation.

Screenplay writers are paid far better than comic book writers.

Do the math.

I am actually less opposed to his existence now than when Loeb was writing it, at which point, yes, the character was just stupid.

But Jeff Parker's run has been very good, and made me like him a lot. It's not fair that he should still carry the stink of Loeb on him at this point, because both the book and the character have gone beyond that shit.

He's not a terrible character. Loeb's stuff sucked, and Bendis hasn't done anything with him in Avengers. But Jeff Parker's work has been good. It really surprises me that I like it, but I do. Also, he was cool in that Circle of Four story in Venom.

because he's like the Hulk, but EXTREME
However, Liefeld is an enigma wrapped in a pouch-filled, muscular, footless conundrum.

Jeff Parker's run maybe good but I just dislike everything about the character. I hate how he's an Avenger. Ross was always a complete ass and to see him being chummy with guys like Thor and Iron Man people he's flat out tried to kill drives me nuts. Why can't the real Hulk be an official Avenger?

I don't like that he's an Avenger, either, but that book has gone way down the drain this past year so I don't particularly care.

The HULK book is good.

totes agreed.

and not only that, but in the latest Avengers issue, they were all looking to him for orders on how to fight the X-Men. :smt011 :smt011 somebody remind me, what was Ross's record against superbeings prior to Hulking up?

Or how about the fact that Ross sounds like a 20-something year old half the time instead of a late 50 - mid 60 year old man?
