Avengers: Heroes Arise #1 Free Digital Comic + Contest

Marvel and Harley-Davidson team up to bring you a free digital comic: Avengers: Heroes Arise #1 starting today! In addition, you can enter the Harley-Davidson Assemble Your Freedom to win a special prize!

Avengers: Heroes Arise #1 is written by Jeff Parker and drawn by Manuel Garcia, with a cover by Adam Kubert and Frank D'Armata. This comic will feature the stars of the upcoming Avengers movie (coincidence?): Captain America, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Iron Man, Thor and The Hulk. Of course, our heroes will be riding Harley-Davidson motorcycles.

The story will pit the Avengers against Baron Zemo and the Masters of Evil and Mr. Hyde, Tiger Shark and Whiplash, andTaskmaster. The free 16-page digital comic is available today via the Marvel Comics app.

The Assemble Your Freedom contest runs until July 1, 2012. Here are the rules and prizes:

Contestants enter by customizing a bike with the savvy H-D1 Bike Builder application, then create a name and mission for their super hero and also choose from advanced features like adding high-tech weaponry to their bike (e.g. guns, flamethrower). The winners will have their likeness and the custom bike they built be drawn into part two. The contest winners will also win the bike they customized.
