For those of us who have been around Comics long enough, it can sometimes hard to process that The Avengers is now Marvel’s biggest franchise Of course, The Avengers have been the company’s premier Superhero Team since its’ inception in 1963, but up until 4 years ago, a movie usually seemed like the stuff of dreams. Now with 20 days to go until the film’s American Release, there has never been a more appropriate time to recognize all aspects of this comic book institution, even the ones that seemed to be underplayed at the moment. Despite sometimes seeming like an exclusive country club for the Big Three, A-List movie stars and creator favorites, there was a time not too long ago where Avenger membership was opened to whosoever answered the call to be apart something bigger than themselves. To celebrate this brave and romantic period, The Outhouse will name its’ All-Time Underrated and Underappreciated Avengers Team

Where do you fit in you might ask? Over the next 13 days, you will get your chance to pick from a group of those who did answer the call and became better than they would have by themselves, only to escape the consciousness of mainstream pop culture. Who will walk away with the glory?

Will it be the long time Avenger staples, which have fallen by the wayside over the past decade?

Or

Will it be those who have served lengthy tenures, but have never really been able to stay on the active roster for a long time since then?

Or

Will it be cult favorites whose tenure was not only all too brief, but nearly forgotten accept for those fans?

Or

Will it be some combination that no one expects?

The only way to help decide the outcome is to vote for the 7 Members who you think should be first team Underrated and Underappreciated Avengers. No matter what happens, this shall be an event that no one ever forgets.

Guidelines for this Poll

1) Every voter gets to vote for up to 7 characters on the poll
2) Voting will start immediately and last until April 27th 1:00 PM
3) The Top 7 will comprise the first team
4) 8th – 14th Place will be members on the second team

5) If there needs to be a runoff vote to determine who places where on teams, said runoff vote will take place between April 27th 5:00 PM – April 29th 5:00 PM and will be open exclusively to members of The Outhouse Forums.*


When Voting is concluded, the unveiling will happen as follows.

Honorable Mentions will be revealed on Tuesday May 1st
Second Team Members will be revealed on Wednesday May 2nd
And the First Team will be revealed on Thursday May 3rd

Should you want to forward this poll to those places, just PM me to make sure I am in the loop (staff members can use the thread in the Staff Forums to notify me as well). You will be responsible to make sure I receive all votes by Friday April 27th 2:30 PM, so I can have enough time to count votes for Runoff Purposes. You should also tell them that runoff voting will take place exclusively on these forums, so if they want to participate, the option is open.)
