I tired to watch Ultimate Spider-Man last night. I got through the first episode and then started watching the second... after about 5-7 minutes I turned it off. It's a piece of crap. Despite the fact that Paul Dini and Man Of Action are working on it, it sucks. It's more Bendis crap.

Not sure how accurate it is but wiki cites Paul Dini as the writer of episode 2 not Bendis.

I do realize that Bendis is credited as a writer on the series though.

Each episode itself credits Dini as writer, too.
Check the credits at the beginning.

Bendis, Quesada and Loeb are all major producers on the show. They set the basics and that's where all the fault is at. Dini... you what, some folks just cannot always smack the ball out of the park each and every time. Some times, they just do not have what it takes to make good with certain characters. We hit that here with him. He was given something great that was then f-ed up by the producers and could not make crap into lemons to make lemonade. Same with Man Of Action.

Bring back Spectacular Spider-Man. It was superior to this show.

Hell, they wanted to do this crapfest, they should have used Miles instead of Peter. It would make more sense... until they get to Luke Cage and Iron Fist.... which by the way, good voice casting there.

Disney Hops on Mr. Toad's Wild Ride

Disney has just commissioned a feature adaptation of Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, based on one of their longest-running theme park rides in Disneyland.

Deadline reports that the film will be a live-action/CGI hybrid and will be directed by music video director Pete Candeland, whose works include collaborations with The Gorillaz and the cinematic opening to The Beatles Rock Band for Harmonix.

The 1955 ride was based on the children's book The Wind in the Willows, which Disney adapted into their animated classic The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad.

Cool if true...

Bowser and Friends Confirmed for Wreck-It Ralph

Bowser will appear in the movie, due out in November, alongside an unnamed ghost from Pac-Man (we're hoping for Clyde). We don't know how the two fit in, but previous reports suggested a panel of villains — including Dr. Eggman — would feature in a scene together.

The film centres on Wreck-It Ralph, a video game villain frustrated at always losing out to hero Fix-It Felix. Ralph decides to switch things up by venturing into other games to play the hero for once, taking on a science fiction first-person shooter, confectionery-themed kart racer and even a Rampage-inspired destroy 'em up.

Looks like it's not just Dreamworks... or Iron Man 3 filming...

Disney to join animation initiative with China

BEIJING — Walt Disney Co. said it would join an initiative to develop China's animation industry, marking the latest push by Hollywood to expand into the world's most populous country.

The agreement announced Tuesday unites the Burbank entertainment giant with an animation arm of China's Ministry of Culture and China's largest Internet company, Tencent Holdings Ltd.

PR: Cartoon Network Announces Live Streaming Across Digital & Online Platforms Network to Expand TV Everywhere Strategy
Cartoon Network, television’s #1 network with boys 6-11, announced today that it will soon begin streaming its on-air content live across multiple platforms, including online at CartoonNetwork.com and for mobile viewers on the iPod Touch, iPhone and iPad. Presented as part of Cartoon Network’s advertising Upfront this morning in Los Angeles , the announcement further expands the network’s TV Everywhere strategy to provide content for viewers on all screens.

“It is our commitment to the TV Everywhere strategy to let our audiences enjoy our shows whenever and wherever they want,” said Stuart Snyder, president and COO, Turner Broadcasting’s Animation, Young Adults & Kids Media (AYAKM). “Soon, viewers will be able to catch Cartoon Network anywhere and everywhere—whether they are in front of their television or maybe even at the airport waiting for a flight, we will be available for viewers to experience the live telecast seamlessly.”

TV Everywhere is an industry-wide initiative that gives subscribers to cable, satellite and telco video services access to more of their favorite full-length shows, available day after air, across multiple platforms (TV VOD, web, tablets and mobile devices) with a high-quality experience at no additional cost.
