Read this article in today's news that WW is being sued by Toronto-based Hobbystar. I didn't even know the Paradise Con was going to become Wizard World Toronto or whatever.

Do people even go to Wizard World cons anymore? I don't bother with cons at all but was thinking of hitting one up for the fuck of it this year. Then I read this shit.

Don't go. Wizard World's charge you way to much to get in and be underwhelmed.

Hobbystar's fan expo is like $25-30 to get in. I wouldn't pay more than $20 considering I don't do autographs or panels. Just check cosplay chicks and buy cheap shit.

Maybe I'll just hit up the Toronto Comic Arts Festival instead.

The Chicago Comic Con formerly known and still owned by Wizard is EVIL. I hate their stupid bracelet idea they've used the past three years ever since C2E2 came over. Only Top Cow and Dynamite are the only companies who show up at it now.

The ONLY redeeming factor is that the CGC booth is much larger and thus you could get comics graded ON SITE from Thurs to mid Sat. Also they should just rename it the James Marsters/Star Trek Con Mark II (we have another Trek con in Chicago in October).
