I recently came across some articles online stating that one of the characters would die in the upcoming Avengers movie and I was left to wonder who that might be. I personally don't see them killing off Captain America, Thor or Iron Man as they all have movies coming out after this year, Hulk is too popular a character to bite the big one and I don't see them killing off Hawk Eye, Black Widow or Nick Fury either. I am guessing the character they might kill off would either be Agent Coulson or Maria Hill who are minor characters compared to them. This to me would be my best guess but I could be wrong. Any thoughts?

I think you should do it on general principle.

On topic... I've heard people thinking that it's either Agent Coulson (because of Whedon's love of killing fan favorites and the recent extra stuff he's been doing) or Hawkeye (the lack of any dialogue in the trailers isn't a good sign).

I don't think it will be one of the major characters but it will most likely a minor one-I am guessing Maria Hill as I doubt no one will care if that's the case.
