It's the Son of Coul. He's the Wash and Wesley of this universe thus he dies due to Whedon logic.

Why couldn't it be Hill? I think the fans would actually cheer if Loki zapped her or if that giant dragon in the trailer ate her.

Probably. Coulson is well-liked from what I've seen from the reactions in Thor and cameos in other movies. People like him.

Wonderman shows up near the end as one of Loki's army, but has a change of heart, saves the day....dies... wait til after the credits... The Vision!

obviously.. He's not a hero, just a guy in a suit. But he got a lot of praise after Thor and plenty of laughs at all his little quips. Maybe you don't like him, but I think his death would be effective.

I understand what you're saying. I was just pointing out if it had been Cap, Thor or Iron Man then the outcry would have been greater.
