His whiney voice is one of the most obnoxious conventions of the 2000s, and was obnoxiously imitated by others to make it exponentially worse, similar to Eddie Vedder's obnoxious constipation voice (remember, that is responsible for Creed).

Ah! Kind of like Witney Housten gave us a ton of shrieking banshees after she became a hit.

I guess it's an okay voice for me, I grew up hearing Dylan, Jagger and later Springsteen. Plus there are too many others as of the 80s to mention that had a similar affect on me as he does to you.

I kind of like that one song they had, I think it was a minor hit I guess. You know that one song off that one album. Haven't heard a ton of the stuff but when I'd have songs pop up of their on Pandora they were pretty much always a skipper. The drummer in the white stripes was maybe the lamest rock drummer ever.

I saw The White Stripes in concert and they were fantastic! One of my top 5 shows of all time (and I've seen the Stones, AC/DC and more)
