Recently my old desktop died

I managed to save the HDD but nothing else.

So i'm in the market for a new box. What I want for my new PC:

I'm inclined to go for the Intel Atom route but I've been out of the Hardware business for years so I'm not very confident on my choice.

This is my top contender atm:

ASUS EeeBox PC EB1501

Is this a bad choice? Should I build my own? Here to start?

About hosting, there's no affordable Java based hosting out there. My applications are built on JSP and EJB3.0, Mysql 5.5 and Jboss / Glassfish and the only hosting I can find is VM renting that puts the pricetag way over my budget.

The Asus eeeobx is looking more and more like my choice.

If the hard drive still works, you probably just need a new power supply.

Other than that, it's not like people really keep track of brands/models because it's more about what's inside. That said, most everything in a given price range is going to be pretty much the same so if you've found one you think will work for you, just buy it.
