Get me an artist and I'd write good Legion stories.

I think we can honestly start calling the "return" of the "classic" Legion a flop here.

Now can we have the post-Zero-Hour Legion back?? I want XS and Gates back with their REAL team.

Archie Legion was a wreck. They tried too much stuff that was just wrong, like Jeckie as a snake and Jo and Tinya's teenaged wedding (nice job there, DC).

I think anybody (with the exception of Shooter and Bedard.) could write better Legion stories than Levitz right now.

(oh and add Liefeld to the above list too.)

I don't understand why people continue to buy Liefeld's comics. It's like the 90s all over again.

The same reason people still pay attention to f**k-ups like Courtney Love and Mel Gibson. They love a to see a good train wreck.

It's still better than the "Eat it, Grampa!" Three-boot and the underwhelming Return of the Original Legion. 8)

It was not better than the Threeboot, if only because the artwork didn't suck as bad.

Mel Gibson used to be popular when he did Braveheart, although his latest films haven't been good.

Now, I honestly can't say that Liefeld was good in the 90s, when he was popular.

It was better then the Threeboot. The Threeboot departed so far from the LoSH and it's history as you could and still possibly call it LoSH.

Welcome to personal tastes.

Gibson was good until the past handful of years when he went or started showing how batshit (no insult to Nieto) crazy he is.

Courtney was only enjoyable when she looked good and did nudity. Oh and kept her yap shut.

Liefeld, good? Two words that never belong together in the same sentence.

Jeckie wasn't a snake in the Threeboot.

Winner:The Threeboot.

It was still closer than the Threeboot to the classic LoSH.

Since the 5YG, things have not been good, but as I said, the one that departed the most of the path, was the poorest. Waid through out more with it then with the Archie LoSH. That's what makes it worse.

EXACTLY. The so-called "Archie Legion" was still recognizable as the Legion. They were still about saving people-- er, beings, and promoting harmony throughout the United Planets. The Threeboot kids were more selfish and self-absorbed, a Legion assembled NOT to promote harmony or save anyone, but primarily to stir up sh*t because they were a bunch of bored brats who wanted to piss off Mommy and Daddy. Again, this is most obvious with their iconic rebellious phrase "Eat it, Grampa!", uttered by COSMIC BOY of all people, who is one of the more respectful and respectable members in the other incarnations of the team.

And here we come to the grand irony of all this: The Threeboot is quite clearly a standard-issue DiDio-era Darker and Edgier take on the team, a phenomenon which YOU usually claim to hate. :smt064

Actually the Threeboot Legion wanted to restore vitality to a galactic civilization that had become stagnant.

And Cos said "Eat it, Grampa!" more in a moment of resignation and frustration, as opposed to doing it in a antagonistic way.

And you killed another hooker.
