Now that we are already in the AVX event, here are some scenarios I would love to see come out of this whole storyline that would make things interesting:

The Phoenix Possess Magneto:

Instead of Hope being the intended target I would love to see Magneto be possessed by the Phoenix. Can anyone imagine what it would be like if Magneto had the power of the Phoenix-Force? This I would actually pay to see what stories we could get out of this scenario

Onslaught Returns:

Given the fact that Onslaught is still at large, it's about time he returned to the X-Books and this would be the perfect time to do it. I would have Professor X and Magneto encounter him and come to the conclusion that their hybrid would be one of the only ways of stopping Phoenix. I have always wanted Onslaught and Phoenix to fight so why not have him show up to challenge the creature.

Norman Osborn & The Dark Avengers Show Up:

As much as I can't stand Norman, I always thought it would have been better if he and the Dark Avengers had escaped and showed again to deal with the threat of the Phoenix. I could see Norman trying to regain public support by offering to assist Cap and the rest of the Avengers in dealing with the Phoenix-It would be interesting to see how Cap and Iron Man particular would have to work with Norman and his crew to fight the X-Men and stop the Phoenix. Chances are I could see Norman trying to resurrect the Sentry/ Void to help combat the Phoenix-which would lead to more trouble.

The Imperial Guard & The Annihilators Show Up:

Given the fact that the Imperial Guard fought the X-Men to destroy the Phoenix before, it would be hard for them to not show up again to face the Phoenix or not be mentioned. I could see the Imperial Guard fighting both the Avengers and the X-Men to try and destroy the Phoenix. Besides, Gladiator was last seen heading to Earth to rescue his son in the midst of the upcoming crisis and chances are he will probably bring the Annihilators and Imperial Guard with him.

Vulcan Shows Up:

Another character I don't give a rat's ass about but Scott and Alex's obnoxious little brother showing up could work. Chances are he could be another potential host for the Phoenix-that would hopefully be killed off.

The Serpent Returns:

Odin's evil brother and his Worthy show up and try to control the Phoenix to spread more fear. The storylines could prove interesting if that would happen

The Ultraverse Is Mentioned:

The Ultraverse characters are remembered-especially Amber Hunt, who was a temporary host to the Phoenix is highlighted

Jean Grey Returns:

Nuff said. This would make this event worthwhile to have Jean back so Emma can be kicked to the curb and go hook up with Namor. Plus, Scott will stop being a dick for the most part now that his wife is back.

Blue Marvel Shows Up To Help The Avengers:

If Cap had been smart, he would get the Blue Marvel onboard to help deal with the X-Men and the Phoenix as this is one character that needs to get used and not keep getting left on the sidelines.

A lot of these are really cool but this is the one I want more than anything out of them. Would be cool as Hel to see everyones faces when Scott turned out to be right.

If jean DOES come back she needs to stay as far away from the X-Men as possible. She's been defined pretty much by which character she was in love with her entire history.

and as far as the Phoenix Force possessing Magneto.. its only ever been shown to possess telepaths...

she could join her best friend (Storm) and her booty call (Wolvy) on the Avengers. they're incredibly short on psych-powered heroes for a grouping of "Earth's Mightiest" anyway.

Really? From what I remember from the Ultraverse crossover, the Phoenix did possess Prime who wasn't a telepath himself. As for Jean, she and Scott should get back together as he is less of a whiny gimp when she is around.

probably not. in which case, her 3-issue addition might go down as the dumbest thing Bendis has done with the Avengers under his tenure (seriously, how pointless has that ended up being?). and that's saying something!

That would be the only plausible way to justify what a douche he has been turned into by Fraction and co.

Jean on the Avengers would be interesting-as long as Bendis doesn't write her!

I am all for Jean Grey returning but the absolute last thing that she should do is get back together with Cyclops. Scott Summers and Jean Grey are done. He knew it and she knew it. In fact, it was with Jean Grey's blessing that Scott and Emma actually became a couple and took over the school. There is no reason why they should break up Scott and Emma just to put Scott and Jean back together. When Avengers vs. X-Men ends, Scott and Emma need to get away for awhile. During that time, if Jean returns, she can develop on her own...although they may finally take the plunge and pair her up with Wolverine.

There was an Iluminatie meeting before the fight and Profesor X and Namor are actually on Cap's side.

I hear what you're saying but I should point out that the Scott and Jean's marriage being undone was a result of Quesada's idiotic editorial policies just like One More Day was. Beforehand, they were fine( Except for Cyke being possessed by Apocalypse and Jean kissing Logan behind his back). Besides do you really think that Jean would ever give her blessing to a homewrecker like Emma? The Jean I know would have TK blitzed her all the way to Genosha for dealing with her husband. Like I said, that whole debacle had Quesada and his anti-marriage vendetta all over it.

Is that Ultraverse crossover in continuity though??

Jean should not be with Scott, he's moved on, she needs to be away from the people who define her. She has so much potential to be a great character, but she is only ever written in response to who ever has a crush on her or what relationship she is in. She's arguably the most powerful telepath in the Marvel Universe, and as chap said there aren't many (if any since Moondragon is MIA) in the Avengers, its a skill set the Avengers need.
