Pixar Sets Dinosaur, Day of the Dead FilmsPixar Animation boss John Lasseter made some announcements about the studio's upcoming slate at yesterday's CinemaCon in Las Vegas. He announced two new projects at last year's D23 expo, one of which was an untitled dinosaur film. That movie now has a title: The Good Dinosaur.
Here's the official synopsis for the film, which opens May 30, 2014: "What if the cataclysmic asteroid that forever changed life on Earth actually missed the planet completely and giant dinosaurs never became extinct? This hilarious, heartfelt and original tale is directed by Bob Peterson (co-director/writer, Up; writer, Finding Nemo) and produced by John Walker (The Incredibles, The Iron Giant).
Lasseter also formally announced Dia De Los Muertos, a new film slated for 2015 from the Toy Story 3 duo of director Lee Unkrich and producer Darla K. Anderson. It will delve into the vibrant Mexican holiday also known as the Day of the Dead.
