Well, according to him, we're all gay. We may not be in person, but we are a bunch of men here.

This is why we need TerriG, Amy Terror, Alima, Emma, Snug and other (sadly now left us) women posters. We won't be Morrison gay.

Too late, bro.

Quote from some dude I was talking to about message boards in the LCS awhile back....." The Outhouse? Isn't that the forum for gay comic book fans?"

My response...."Yes, you should sign up".

He's been writing the character since JLA #1 in 1997, but only in recent years has he gotten around to bringing back all the wacky Silver Age Bat-stories and concepts, including, say, the Batmen of Many Nations-- oops, I forgot, we're supposed to think that Batman, Inc. is another wild new Morrison Concept and buy it in droves.

In any case, give Grant another 10-15 years to get to Gay-Bats.
I'm sure the man has a ton of other pointless ideas to throw up at us before then, as always.

Yeah, I was disappointed to see that you actually had a paragraph break in there. Lessened my message a bit. You're still British though. And also a shill for Marvel. Or whatever company we're talking about.

Yes, you're absolutely right. The fact that Grant and DC kept talking about how that story was a throwback to that old Silver Age Story, and the fact that Morrison has been hitting up the Silver Age for his entire Batman run, is proof positive that we're all being tricked into thinking he's writing brand new stories.

By the way folks, there was some sarcasm in that post somewhere.
The witness said Mr Brown then called out to Ms Hay's adult daughter: "Look at this, I'm tittie-f***ing your mother!".

If Batman is really, really gay then I need to spend some time reflecting on my own gayness.
However, Liefeld is an enigma wrapped in a pouch-filled, muscular, footless conundrum.

Keep that in mind as you read on...

"Damien" the Bat-son doesn't come from the Silver Age.
Nor does the concept of him dying by Darkseid.
Or having Dick Grayson replace Bruce while he's dead.

So he has NOT been "hitting up the Silver Age for his entire Batman run".
Hope you've got better ammo, because this ain't gonna cut it, Mr. Grant Supporter.

is proof positive that we're all being tricked into thinking he's writing brand new stories.

Well, clearly you're new to comics, but the idea IS to trick readers into thinking that you're giving them new stories. Stick around, you'll learn that someday.

By the way folks, there was some ignorance in that post EVERYwhere.

Fixed.

By the way, I notice that you couldn't debate my overall point, so you had to reach for this tangent.
Interesting...

Would the writer who have Batman a kid also make him gay?

I know gay people can be fathers etc, but Morrison introduced Damian, who is the direct result of Bats engaging in heterosexual sex. Morrison is not going to make Batman gay in the stories, but that doesn't mean he can't comment on the homo-erotic and camp nature of the character.

As mentioned, if hanging around a few guys for any real amount of time makes you gay, then practically every man in the history of the world must be gay. And that's including all of us for hanging around here without constantly being accompanied by Amy, Nerdygirl, etc., to assert otherwise. (Have Most of Us Mentioned We Are Heterosexual Today??)

It's a pretty stupid conclusion for a man who purports to be smart. And I don't put making Batman gay for such an idiotic rationale past the man who has had other blatantly boneheaded ideas in the recent past.

Punchy hit the nail on the head I think.

He was making a joke, or at least I hope he is.

I'm just surprised he would make a joke like that, it's not something you see very often these days.

Uh, I specifically mentioned the Batman of Many Nations story, which DC did advertise as a throwback to the Silver Age story. You specifically avoided the fact that I mentioned that in your reply full of nested quotes and unearned smugness. So, why are you doing the thing you're accusing me of?
